Is it a bad idea to put HID's into the teg projector lights or does it look good?

I think there was actually a thread about this not too long ago, the light out of the projector was ******* sick, it was very bright and looked very good, I'll try to dig it up.

I have HIDs in my stock projectors and there is very little glare. It isn't ideal, but it doesn't require a retrofit to reduce glare like reflector type headlight housings.

How hard was the install and wiring? and how cheap did you get them?

The install was easy. The hardest part is finding a suitable place to mount the ballasts. You pretty much have to just plug the ballast into the stock harness and then plug the HID bulb into the ballast. There is no cutting or anything else involved.

I got them for $250 shipped from a vendor off Honda-Acura.net in 6000k color. I have been very impressed with them.

I love you guys, thanks!

I'll be buying the car this weekend and pending that sale, I'll be grabbing the HID's after that!

Very nice write up bro, so you have badass HIDs but then what happens to your brights .. do they stay yellow and shitty, that is what I don't understand? Or doe sthe HID act as brights too and there is no use for the inner light?

you dont need brights anymore... trust me

I know the install is easy, and the color / look is great, I was just wondering about how obnoxious they were from another persons perstpective (oncoming traffic)

Well have you never seen an Audi, BMW, Mercedez driving down the highway with their blue lights?

Yeah, the brights are pretty much useless. The only time I use them is if I need the area above the HID light lighted up.

I have them pointed at the proper aim alignment and they have little to no glare to incoming traffic. The cutoff is really nice too for a non-retrofitted projector.
