That's some serious damage.

Looks pretty beaten on other pistons and head bowl are too.

Sorry to hear about the motor. 11.90? NICE!!
What compression was the setup? Looks like an 84mm bore?

ya the head is pretty thrashed, but im sure it can still be fixed. But the thing is, it looks like all the combustion chambers have to be reworked since the pistons hit the other chambers too.

With the pistons hitting the head, its best to redo the whole setup instead of just patching things up. Might have affected the bearings as well when the piston hit the head.

Good luck and hope you recover from this.

I see you have that new secret 2 exhaust valves in one hole trick...Ok bad joke ..Sorry for your loss man, it's hard to keep going when you know you take all the precautions to do it right , and it still pukes on you.. If the block is good for 86 mm I might be able to pick it up and help you recoop some of the cost.

Also give me a list of the tranny setup and drivetrain..

That sucks, but you you can be proud of that time. Really impressive. Look in my sig, 202whp and i got a weak 13.6, you're doing 11's, thats awesome. At least you can look back and be proud of that achievement. 11's all motor is crazy fast. PM me what kinda parts you have for sale, tranny i'm interested, and other stuff. Good Luck in the future, get something stock for a while. something like fun little stock miata?

There are numerous ways valves could break and ruin an engine,
I couldnt find one good reason for one of my valve's to seperate from the stem...The rockers had no wear, I was @ 4300-4500rpm when it happened...The stem was still on the spring with the keeper, Tom @ portflow did my valve job and installed the REV valves (he reccomended them over supertech) 500miles before it happened and so on.....IM not bad mouthing im just stateing my experience...hell it might have been my springs were worn and floated one day previous to when the valve took a ****
