Default stock height performance

Hey guys what's happening. I'll try to make this simple. My new house is about to be finished soon and to my utter dismay, the driveway is pretty steep. I have a stock EM1 and it barely clears by like an inch at the most. driving sideways down it doesn't help much either.

I am set on GC/koni and my question is it worth it performance wise to swap out my stock setup if I can't lower it? Am I banished to stock-land forever?

any input would be greatly appreciated.

ride height isnt everything. sure youll still benefit from specifying your spring rates and better shocks.

Have you thought about fixing your driveway?

trust me I am doing everything I can to make the contractors fix the driveway. We may even bring in a lawyer if it gets ugly. (the driveway is not the only issue) But I was thinking of getting fairly stiff rates for autocross, around 380f/450r and a comptech or asr rear sway kit...

yeah, i'm pretty pissed because I can't really do anything to my car, if I get a new header it will possibly scrape at stock height. Also not to mention when we rent out the cottage the people have to have cars that won't scrape. it sucks...hopefully we can fix the driveway...

Stock GC don't allow you to get back to anything near stock height. Because of shitty roads around here I have them pretty much at the top but I still only have 2 fingers' worth of fender gap. You would have to order them with taller springs if you wanted it at stock height.

In any case, handling isn't really affected by ride height. Whatever you gain by dropping the CG is offset by the greater still drop of the roll center. Only advantage is the negative camber you gain, but that could always be added with a camber kit as well.
