assuming you're talking about the 98 accord in your sig, the radio antenna is part of the rear window - the top "mesh" area that's impossible to tint right is the antenna. sounds like your defroster circuit is somehow interfering w/ the antenna. any cuts/shorts in the defroster lines on the window?

look for a loose wire that has worn thin from heat or somthing, next to your defroster lines in the door

This concern is not new to the Accords. Alot of times, when a tint job is done, the installer cuts or damages one of the defroster grid wires. The cut wire causes the static. There are aftermarket defroster grid "repair" pastes... but I have never had any luck using them, so unfortunately, replacing the rear glass is usually the only fix.

You don't turn on an antenna. It does'nt have power going to it. When you turn on the defroster it interferes with the reception because maybe the wires are touching in the winshield.

i thought it was cool i didnt have a obviuos antenna outside the car...now im starting to wish i had one there instead of on my rear window. i think the tint thing is what caused the problem. although what weird about it is that the tinting took place a long time ago and it just started this yesterday. ill c if i can find the small cut in any of the defroster wires. if not o well i guess ill have to live with it cuz there aint no way im replacin my window for that. as long as my defroster doesnt quit on me.
