Lightened flywheel should be mandatory for a serious NAer.

They're all pretty much the same, just different weights. The lighter you get, the faster the engine will change revs, both up and down. I have a Clutchmasters on my B18, which is 12 lbs, and fits my style perfectly. I find when I shift, the revs drop right to where they will be in the next gear, making the car very smooth to drive. My friend has a Fidanza on his B16, which is 7 lbs. I find it personally to be too light, as the revs drop too fast and you get a little lurch when you shift, but it's partly due to me being used to the heavier one. I still think you have to shift a bit too fast to drive the 7 lb flywheel smoothly, but it's all personal preference.

Do NOT lighten the stock flywheel.

It will never be equal, it doesn't really work that way. There's no magic formula to make it accelerate the same. Just get a lighter one, trust me, it will be better.

All the flywheels use the same starter.

Get between 9-12lbs for a good balance. I have the Toda unit, its about 10lb. Revs quickly and no torque trade-off.
