Default All motor D Timing Issues

I have recently built a D series all motor style. It sports a 12.6:1 c/r, crower 3 cam, edelbrock mani, bbk tb, kamikaze header, and Turboedit for tuning. My issue is i have the timing set to 22 degrees between 5300 and 7400. When my car gets around 5000 rpm the Wideband goes completly lean. It doesnt matter how much fuel i put in either it will go automatically lean. Any suggestions

sounds like you have fuel supply issues to me. Doesn't sound like much to do with timing. Try increasing the fuel pressure and check the rest of the fuel system. Check the fuel filter, the pump, the injectors, etc.

I would doublecheck the fuel values on the ECU for 5000 rpms, cuz that shouldn't happen. How lean do you mean by "completely lean"?? Also, I think you could get away with a little more timing - maybe 25-28 deg total timing.

where is your wideband bung located???? i've had problems before when the bung is located in the exhaust and if there is a small leak in the dounut between the exhaust and the header the exhaust gas passing by creates a vacuum and sucks in oxygen. it wont do it at low RPMs however. look at your plugs. they will tell you the real story.

when i say lean the UEGO goes to 17.2:1 and it tops that out. I am running 55psi fuel pressure and i dont have an upgraded fuel pump. Thing is when i had ITB on the motor it didnt lean out in vtec. since then i have replaced it with a manifold. I also uped the timing and im figuring that its burning all up too soon. i have stock 240cc injectors and an R-1 fuel regulator.

go do a pull and promptly shut the car off, pull a plug, take a picture and post it.
