Default question about swapping gauge cluster...

I have a 2000 CDM GSR, looking to swap in a CDM ITR cluster.

My question is, is it possible to swap only the gauge faces, and still have the correct read outs for the RPMs and speedometer.

Two reasons for this:
1) I want all the other lights to function correctly ie. cruise control, immobilizer
2) I want to keep my original odometer reading.

I have read many other posts about this yet it is still not clear to me. Just thought I'd ask before I try figuring it out myself and f'ck things up. TIA

in case you're wondering... All I want is the true amber color and the higher redline to match my future plan of running an ITR ecu.

bump... don't want to spend $200+ if I can't keep my odometer reading.
