Ok when you get an engine swap with about 30k miles on it... does your gauge speedometer set automatically to 30k? or does it stay at what the previouse engines milage? Im plannen on buying this guys shell, but there isnt a guage cluster... but when i do get one, how do i set the cluster to 30k w/o it being illegal (for rollbacks)

 

In a gauge cluster their is the milage meter (odometer) which unbolts. Find a gauge cluster you want, then get a near or on 30K meter that will fit. When you go in for emissions and show milage your car is set for odometer rollback...

I'm not sure if you have to file paper work or anything, hopefully someone can help you their, I would call emissions...
