Default pr3 pistons in a stock gsr... tuning needed??

I was just wondering if it is necessary to upgrade the fuel system and ecu to run pr3 pistons in a basically stock gsr. The block has an overbore of .02 and according to a compression calculator it puts it around 11.5:1. Should I go all out with a FPR,injectors, hondata etc.. or can I get away with running it stock for now?

You'll be coo running stock maps with 2 degrees timing pulled out via the distributor if you run 91 octane.

Assuming the motor is healthy and does not consume oil.

So the stock ecu will add enough fuel to compensate! I just want to make sure I dont destroy a new motor.

i think u'll be fine running those pistons w/o any timing pulled. i tuned a GSR with about 11.8 CR, timing was advanced from stock like 1.5* and the car was runing good. power and tq did not fall off with the timing advanced

Ok cool thanks. When I upgrade the top end I plan on getting all of goodies anyway but for now I dont have the cash. Also, do you guys think this engine will pass smog?
