Default I NEED HELP ON RELOCATING MY BATTERY TO MY 87 REX

OKAY SO I HAVE A 87 REX AND WHAT I WANNA DO IS RELOCATE THE BATTERY. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT GAUGE ON THE WIRES IM SUPPOSE TO GET? AND WHERE I CAN GET IT FROM?

It depends on where exactly you're putting the battery, but it's better to have too much wire than not enough. I would run at least 2 gauge, if not thicker. There was a large thread on battery relocation, if you search for it, or it might be in the FAQ (or what's left of it), otherwise people with relocated batteries chime in here.

4 gauge is fine, especially if you get good quality stuff from a audio shop,

yeh 4 is fine....they tried to tell me to get 0 gauge and i told em to eat **** cuz unless ur running a huge stereo 4 works great

yes 4 gauge will work perfectly fine. Get a battery box or buy a whole kit. A distribution block is nice to splice from the main power to the fuse box/altenator. Also you should put an inline fuse within a foot or so of the battery. you can ground the battery in the back or where ever you mount your battery. And most importantly if you plan on relocating somewhere in the cabin, you should get a sealed battery like an optima so that you are not breathing in toxic fumes...
