b16a swap ecu question
Ok so recently i swapped a b16a into my ej2. Today was sittin around and was bored so decided to get rid of my check engine light so I wired up the knock sensor. (vtec and vtec oil pressure was previously wired during swap) the check engine went away for about 15 mins and everything seemed fine. then it came back on so i checked the wires and connections to ecu and everything seemed fine. So really i am asking if anyone has an idea as to what is throwing the check engine light?
what code is in your ecu?
that would be the best place to start. you can find code information by searching the archives.
i had a similar problem with my b16 eg right after the swap, and my cel ended up being caused by an improperly grounded ecu. i had a cel with no code stored, which was kind of weird, and then after scouring the car for some kind of reason why i found the loose ground

I have a similar problem with my b16a running the b16a JDM ECU.... code 23 which I believe is the knock sensor.... It's installed and after the car warms up and I start to drive, the CE light comes on but doesn't seem to affect performance...
