Default b16 hatch 1/8mile

I went out to the track tonight to watch the races, got there and decided to go ahead and run it. My car is a 95 civic hatch with a b16a2. only modification is a 2.25 cat back exhaust, and a short shifter, not to mention I'm running a p28 ecu. Lmk what you guys think and if any of you are pulling some of the same times and what your setup is

BEST TIME OF THE NIGHT------

yeah, I was running on some 16" enkei's with proxes for rubber. drag radials are due in the future, along with that p72 ecu. I've got a zex kit that still needs to be installed then should hit some definate good times.

Read my signature, and I was getting terrible traction. This was in 90 something degree weather, I'm pretty confident I could get it to run 9.9. I let my car cooled down and was going to make my last run of the day but blew my transmission when I launched. I will post new times in a month or so. Yeah work on your times, I believe B16 hatches are running 9.6 or so at the track I ran my car at. Good Luck

it's not we're over rating our selves it's you who is over crediting yourself. 15.6 on a stock motor being single cam is almost unrealistic. what mods to have pulled those times.

Ha, 15.6 with a STOCK single cam is VERY realistic. It's just that you suck at driving, I pull consistent 2.2 in my 60's. In fact I ran a 10.2 with an 88 CRX DX completely stock with MPFI with full interior and AC. Learn how to drive and come back to us with a 9.6 eight mile time. Good Luck

in another of his post's i believe he said he had a CX with 1.5 sohc vtec so i would assume it's a mini-me. now since we know that when you use the CX block to build a mini-me you have to change the pistons so i would assume that is done also. just a few assumptions that would make this all fit together.

just out of curiosity, what kinda times should be expected from a mini-me CX?

B16delteg your times are fine, its just the jsw that is having some difficult time. He will do better after a couple of more runs

remember I'm running the wrong ecu. the redline is at 7200 instead of 8000. so i'll be right in the middle of my power band and then have to shift. i'm sure once i have the right ecu i'll be doing 9.7-9.9, i plan on getting some drag radials to improve those 60' times. that ecu is playing a huge factor with my times. what are some good 60' times for a b16 anyways?

not to bash you or anything....but i don't even understand why your running your car on a single cam ECU....let alone racing it....

car should be a whole new world when you get a dual cam ecu...

60ft tells how good the driver is. Doesnt matter what motor is in there. From the looks of it you probably launched high as hell and just spinned through first.

With a lower 60ft you could get lower times. You could have drag radials and still run a shitty time. Tires doesnt always give for good times if you cant drive to begin with.

OMG every body bow down before the god of driving in a straight ******* line. Why don't you climb down from your high horse, it isn't that hard to drag race.

hahahha.

anyways, no but nice try. i'm not an idiot i can drive, i was only launching at about 2200-2300rpm very little wheel spin through first little chirp threw second and continued to pull right till the end. I wasn't originally planning on racing it just happend i got there it was $5 more to race and figured what the hell i'll do it. i havn't got the right ecu because I havn't found one yet.

I am by no means the GOD of driving, I'm just giving the guy advice and examples of the times he should be running. I am confident that once he is running the right ECU and gets some more seat time he will get consistent good times. Anyway good luck next time and make sure to post your times

Telling some one that they suck at driving is not advice. You are a expletive, leave.

my buddy was running 9.9 1/8 mile and a 15.0 1/4mile spinning through 3 gears. that was stock other than header, intake and a gutted cat. does anyone have any slips of b16's on nitrous?
