Default R/S Ratio

I know that the problem(one of them,at least)with the LS/Vtec is the R/S ratio not being conducive to the high rpm that the Vtec head makes hp at.Can a GSR(B18c1)crank be used to de-stroke an LS bottom end(along w/I'm guessing GSR rods and maybe some forged pistons to get around the LS blocks lack of oil jets)to improve an LS/Vtecs R/S ratio?I'm asking because I have a GSR crank and block girdle already, and access to a cheap LS swap.Anybody ever done this or stroked a B16a w/a B18c1 crank? Thanks.

It is *slightly* less good than a B18C. 1.57 vs. 1.54 for the LS. It isn't worth it to change- piston speeds are within a few percentage points. Unless you are running at the track in endurance races or in a rev-off, you'll appreciate the fatter torque curve of an LS.

Check out clubsi.com I think NA Tuning...there is an analysis of piston speeds.

Thanks
