I say boost the f23...its cheaper and you get more power.

What are your goals with this car? Do you have a budget to work with? Auto or manual?

The only problem is that you can only boost the f23 so much becuase of the lack of aftermarket support for aftermarket internals. H22 has more potential in the end but costs more.....

I think an F23 with 10 lbs of boost is about enough for anyone to handle. Any more than that and youd need specialized parts for both engines, plus he would have spent 2500 on the H along with boosting it....

yeah i was thinking boost what you got. especially if your not trying to go mad crazy with horse power. cheaper but just do it right the first time. h22 you will want all the upgrades and maybe even boost that once the engine it built correctly. you could end up spending twice as much. there is more aftermarket support for the h22 but it depends on the goals you wanna reach.

And you can blow a block boosting, so you gotta remember, an H block is over 1 grand and an F is under 500...

if your going for boost, go with the f series, b/c its cheaper, and you can get some decent numbers, i got 240 to the wheel with 8psi. and there is less aftermarket support for the f23 but, im building mine, and rods, valves, and springs are all made, you just may have to custom pistons, like im doing, but really its not that bad, imo

How about throwing an H22 or H23 head on the F23 and boosting it? That sounds good to me.

For tunability that may be better, but I think an H22 tranny on an F23 will do just as well, since the ratios are more performance oriented. I'd look for a tranny swap before I went for an engine swap.

HAHA!@#! OMFG! ok sorry... but yeah, the H22 Head is a MAJOR upgrade on the F series heads. the ONLY F series head that is mildly decent flowing is the F22A series heads off the older accords and some preludes. The f22b1 head is E-Vtec oritented and really doesn't flow for ****, but does make decent power boosted. IDEALLY, if you have the stroke of the F23, and the Flow of the h22, and a nice turbo setup, you should be able to engage the high flowing VTEC cams on the H22 head as soon as the motor begins to make boost. I'm not a tuner by any means but the theory seams sound.

Talk to Pirate or Sam, they know hybrids better than anyone else on this forum in regards to F --> H series.

My comment is completely opinion and seat of pants oriented. Anyone looking at me for solid hard facts should look somewhere else.
