fuse keeps burnin out and lights go out
im trying to find the problem why my gauges and tail lights dont turn on when i turn my lights on so i look in the fuse box under the hood on the ps and there is a 15 fuse under the dimmer relay and it was blown so i turned my lights off replaced it turned them back on and my gauges we're on for a split second and then the fuse poped. what could be contributing to this problem?

mmmm..not happy that u got 1 response eh???
well on ur year and model it is the gonko-lite relay shorting out and blowing the fuse

if you go and buy yerself a Chiltons manual you will know everything thats on the same circuit. I don't have any schematics for your 1937 Accord
I'll point you in the right direction, once you take care of that gonko-lite relay.
You have a dead short to the rear tail lamps (pinched wire, shorted / corroded lamp socket etc).
The Clue? The dash lamps power their fuse from a point after the fuse for the rear lamps. The reason they do that (as do a lot of other manufacturers) is that it acts as a very effective reminder that something is very wrong.
ie: If the rear lamps don't work, the dash lamps won't either.

Consider yourself lucky, anywhere else you would have been flamed Big Time ......

My tail lamps are all working w/o problem but all my dash lamps are dead.....all fuses in the box in front of the driver's door are good.......could this possibly be a bad printed circuit board behind the gauge cluster? Any other thoughts?

Is it just the cluster illumination lamps, or does it include the switches, a/c control illuminators as well??

I'm not the same user that posted the original thread. On my car the taillights work fine, but the gauge lights, climate control lights, dash button lights....basically everything controlled by the dash dimmer switch.....don't light up at night.
Opps, sorry about that.
I'll edit my prior post so's I don't sound like a ^%$#
In effect, Honda; like most manufacturers, (I believe) pull power for the dash lights from the fused power from the tail lamp circuit fuse. This is to act like a "glaring" reminder that somethings wrong with the lamp system and to have it looked at.
At present, the manual I have available doesn't call out a specific fuse for the dash illumination, so you'll have to check each fuse (in both Fuse boxes) to determine if you've a bad one. If they all check out good, you'll be looking for either an open circuit (broken wire) or a bad dash dimmer switch. If you find a bad one (fuse), it will be a pinched / crushed wire. I'd start by reviewing if you did any runting around in the dash / console area recently.
The reason I mention this???, because Honda (as most Japanese manufacturers) have IMHO the best thought out wiring systems around. everythings wrapped, wire tied and has good connectors.
