Would you buy the new crx if it looked like this. I tried to follow the styling of the new civic. If honda did make the crx again would you like it to look like this?



I'm working on some other views. Back side profile. What do you think.

that looks hot. now just make it under 2200lbs w/ a k20 and lsd, and under $15k and ill buy it.

 

Your drawing is the best Ive seen yet.I would love a 200hp 6spd lsd CRX and would def buy one if it was reasonably priced.

 

My input is to get rid of the 06 civic/saturn ion looking headlights and go for the "all up front" head lights like the 2nd gens have

 

only if there was an option of paying to swap motor with a k20 for under than 6k with warranty

that's of course with the 88-91 crx's

 

I would love to see a new CRX but if we do it's gonna be soooo danm heavy

 

Awsome, you should keep sketching for fun and post up more drawings. It's always good to dream.
I wouldn't make the front end so rounded, give it a shelf like the old style, think of the mugen style front end.
And the styling on the rear makes me think Celica. Make sure the taillights go all the way across, and leave the black plastic triangles on either side of the hatch.
If honda did make another, the tails would be LED. Just something to consider when drawing them. See how the G35 tails look and draw the insides kinda the same but restyled.

The windshield is too big. I might fly through it in an accident. and the rear wheelbase needs to be a little bit longer.

 

 

if they made a 2200lb k20 crx, then slap on a turbo, made it 20k, and it owned sti's, rsx, evos, and pretty much any car on the road.. honda would be a whole new thing..

 

i think your concept and art design are nice! .. i like it... of course people will pick out the little things.. but the whole idea you have going is cool ... not like i can see the tail lights.. but from the angle .. the tails look like the compressor

 

Finished a side profile. I'll work on somemore later. Gotta get soem sleep. It is fun to dream and I figured why not share my ideas.

if they redesigned the crx and based it off the insight platform with new sheet metal and made it stiffer and ditch the battery and engine for a k series it could be 1800 to 1900lbs. sweet drawing best 2007 crx yet

 

they would need to ditch the rear beam axle suspension for it to REALLY be good if it was based off the insight chassis. but thats not going to happen.


and i dont think 2007 cx is going to happen, especially after seeing these drawings. give it up ppl.

In all honesty I don't think honda will bring it back. I really don't mind the look of the new coupes though and the Si should be a blast.

 

Thats a great drawing. You've taken some details and styling from the EF. And that is awesome thing.

 

A new crx would be sweet but we all know it's never gonna happen and if it does, it's going to be heavy and underpowered. There was a reason the original crx was pulled from production, to please those damned insurance companies. In this day and age though, honda is not going to make the same "mistake" twice. I love my rex, and the fact that the thing was made for 3 years and 3 years only makes it that much more sought after. Long live the EF.

3 years? CRX's ran from '84 til '91

If they made it under 2200 lbs with a k20 in it, for less then 15k I would have to pawn everything, sell my car and my girls car, give blood and even sit on the corner with a cup to collect change just so I could get 2 or 3 of those babys.
