Sup, guys my buddy is going to go race at the track on the 22nd (i think) and he got a drag hatchback with fully built LS-Vtec. The thing is he want me to run too. I also got an LS block but I didn't built it yet. Currently my car is just a stock 99 civic si (b16) with just DC 4-2-1 Headers and intake. But he got individual and he want me to use it for the race. So its going to be Stock civic si (b16) with individuals. Say if I did race one the 22nd will the individual mess up my motor in any way? What do I need to change if I run individual with stock b16 gen2? will basically all im asking is will my car be F-up after running with individual and high octane gas? any suggestion would be very helpful. Also how do you think my car would run with individual setup.

 

it will not mess up your car but, you need some more upgrades and get your car tuned to make the itb's make some power, on a stock motor the car will most likely loose power.

 

Honestly your car will probably run like **** with the ITB's being untuned. They probably won't mess anything up, but you really do need some tuning to take advantage of ITB's.

 

Like stated earlier, it will run like **** w/o tuning. BTW, your car isnt stock if it has an intake and a DC header.

Dont waste your money on race gas either.
