I have a 95 gsr with a few minor mods. exhaust and cold air intake. My vtec kicks in @ 5500 I can hear it kick in but I dont really feel it. Whats the problem?

What the heck do you think vtec is? Go get some NAWWWZZZ if you want to be "thrown back".

just because you dont feel it doesnt mean its a bad thing, its accually a good thing it has a smooth trasition, which the gsr engine were designed for ..hense the manifold, plus vtec kick in at around 4600rpms, at 5600 its the secondary butterflys opening.
