wirning help
ok well i just got my mounts and linkage today and im about to put my motor in but the guy who did the wiring before me sucked at it its already wired for obd1 but really!!!! slopy done, should i rewire it and go obd0 or keep the wiring and work at it and stay odb1?
is the b18a1 obd-1 or obd-0 cause im doing a obd-1 b18a1 swap into my 90 si hatch aswell let me know cause i can snap some pics of obd-1 converted obd-0 harness.
the motor is obd0 and the wiring in the car now is obd1(really f***ed up), i have a complete swap ready for the transplant(which is obd0) and i have both ecus and both o2 censors but i want to know which would be the easiest just fixing the obd1 harness and buying a dizzy or just rewire the wiring and go obd0
WOW
I'm sorry for you.
Can you take some pics of the wiring and post them? I may be able to help you.
I would honestly say, if it RAN before as OBD1. I would actually try using the hackjob. Clean it up where you can, remove all butt connectors and re-solder the connections with heatshrink and loom.
Get an OBD1 LS ECU, OBD1 distributor, and you should be able to get it started.
What did they do for the dash/gauge cluster wiring if they used an entire OBD1 chassis harness?!?!?
If it does run like that and you resolve any codes, then I can repair the engine harness if it has firewall connection.
I can't take on a repair job like that unless i know the wires are in the right positions to run the engine. Otherwise, whats the point in cleaning it up.. ya know?
