I'm not flaming,,,yet but, why do you want 'em?

Is it for looks or performance?

I just swapped my stock rims and tires back on after limping through the winter on Pilot Alpins and steelies, and I am so totally amazed how awesome the cars feels again. I can drive it and do things with it that I haven't been able to in a while.

The R is so well balanced and composed that it doesn't NEED any new springs. It is a very well designed car and suspension. And thats Not just MHO it's alot of others.

So I ask out of curiosity and nothing more, why do you want new springs? If it's wear why not stock springs?

Oh, and Tire pressures play Such major roles with performance and the R. Be sure to have 'em set every time you go out, they do tend to change between drives and with different temperatures and weather conditions.

It's a little of both,TYPER599 was very happy with them.I'm not trying to say spoon springs are the best suspension "upgrade" you can get.But for 300-350 it's better then paying 1,200-2,000.IMO

Absolutely agreed!

But, it's your car and you could do alot worse than the Spoon springs. I still say learn how to drive the car on a road course or Auto-X and then you'll really appreciate it for what it is.

Do what you like just be sure to check out the H&R's and Neuspeeds, they are also R specific springs.

Good luck,

A.

i'm should be getting my spoon springs from aj-racing at the end of the month..
reason why i'm getting springs is cause at buttonwillow, i thought there was way too much body roll.
I'll keep you posted when i get them.

Describe your thoughts on the R and it having way too much bodyroll. I might not have much experience but to me, bodyroll isn't really an issue.

Please list reasons why you would suggest those?

-Dave, who loves suspension and brake posts.

He can't even spell suspension, you think he can articulate why either would be a better choice over stock? Maybe he has some major course experience that would help him explain his choices?

hehe.. since I do have experience with a set of Apex N1's on the track and they suck *** in my opinion. Full stiff and it felt like a buick.. which I guess is kinda cool, but not what I want in a "track" suspension exactly.

Fine, use a torch instead then! lol. Why not get shocks too? They aren't that expensive. What are the spring rates of those sp00m springs? Anyone?
