why a 1/2 radiator?

Default why a 1/2 radiator?

i was curious why is it suggested to run a half radiator in a b series swap in a crx?.... does the radiator end up being to close? clearence for fan an issue? i haven't dropped in my motor yet... this is why i am wondering.

i know a few people who have done that. i guess u jus save weight????? sum say the Si radiator cools better cuz its bigger but use a half one to save weight, im not sure, maybe sumone can elaborate more on that

The half rad is commonly used in turbo applications. By no means do you need it for a b series swap...unless of course you are going to turbocharge it.

Yup, i have the full fluidyne radiator on my EF with a b16 swap with no problems.

yea m friend has a ls/vtec setup and hes using the stock radiator and its just fine, but turbo needs the half

It would have been nice to have a 1/2 radiator when I put in my b16. It would have left a lot more room for the AC fan.

plus you get the gungstur lean when you put the 1/2 radiator in there.

full size is definately better unless turbo. i hste the lean, i cracked a halfsize from it
