Check engine light after filln'n up gas??
Well gas is cheap today so I decided to top it up... for some reason, on the way back the cel light stays on, I pull over to check the gas cap... all ok. my valves/lifters have to be adjusted, could that be a possible reason for the light to stay on? So after I got home shut' er off & started back up & no cel!!
I 'm gonna do a li'l test drive soon & rev it up to 8900 rpm
hopefully no cel will come on.

i hope it can handle 8900 okay lol... what you should do instead is put the key in the on position and look at the ecu and get your error code, because once the cel comes on, it stores the code until you reset the ecu. once you have the code you can go with it from there.

I'd recommend that over redlining as well.
This way you actually know why the cel light came on, instead of just guessing.

well after I shut the car off & turned it back on the cel light never came back on? I even took @ 8900 rpm on 1 & 2 gears ... no cel...
