Im going 2 make this short. I went and got my car maintenced the other day and they ran a test that my cat converter was messed up and that was the reason my gas mileages were shitty so I wanted to know are all the cats the same? the honda tech were going 2 charge me 250 for one of theres but I went to this http://andysautosport.com/products.php?id=Ho98Accord&make=Honda&mcat=Exhaust &scat=Hi%20Flow%20Catalytic%20Converter

and they got alot of them for way under 250. Is there a certain one that will give me more what ever or r they all bout the same? Btw I have a 98 accord 4 cy and one more thing theres alot of different measurments what is the measurment of mine? Im lost when it comes to this I cant afford not going a whole week on 35$ worth of gas and paying 250 escpecially when theres some much cheaper...

 

Just like everything else for your car that different brands make, yes there are better versions, you need to stick with a popular and dependable brand. Now im not saying that you cant find a good cat for under 250 dollars, but thats automotive shops for ya buddy, you can try to find a cheaper one, but the labor is still gonna cost ya, and if its a 250 dollar cat and a good brand, it would be worth it in the end

 

im with honda mike. u may pay a little more but its installed by honda and u get a warranty

 

how many miles in your car??????????the reason i ask is because i think HONDA extended their warranty on cats to i believe 75k miles ,,,,,, 250 dollars ?? that is not a HONDA factory cat ,you know that right??
