I swear I've done everything...old gasket + sealant 10lbs trq, leak, new gasket + no sealant 9lbs...leak....newer gasket 7lbs leak.....gasket + sealant...5lbs...and STILL LEAKS. What in the sam hill is going on!? Im mad as hell. Any comments?

 

Maybe the pan?

When mine was leaking, it was just the gasket.

 

Are you 100% positive that its coming from the oil pan? It could have dripped from somewhere else and eventually dripped on the side of the pan. Anyways, if you think it is, maybe you have a warped oil pan. It happened to me after i welded my oil return on my pan.

 

12 lbs new gasket, glack silicone sealant tighten from inside out in X pattern

 

I'd say check the oil pan if you changed the gaskets

I am 100% positive because each time that I do my oil pan it leaks from random places.

 

How can I tell if the oil pan is "warped" it looks fine to me.

 

Lay it out on something flat.

 

maybe you need to check your PCV. If that thing isnt working right its gonna build pressure and its gonna go out @ its weakest link: the oil pan gasket.

 

Sounds like your oil pan is warped.

If you use sealant and install the gasket properly you should have zero leaks. So it must be your pan.

 

oil pan warp....lay it on something flat..hmm ill try it out.

the pcv valve? it builds up pressure and sends the oil squirting out of the oil pan? i noticed my leaks are only when i stop and the car is SHUT OFF. then oil will come down like its raining. But when my car is idling at a stop it doesnt leak.

 

my honda books says if your oil pans is warped/bent it says lay it on a flat hard surface and hit it with a hammer. helms says that.

Yea that sounds like a good idea. If it ends up being warped, just pick up a new one. D series pans go for pretty cheap. Good luck

 

umm...i did my oil pan gasket too, and i didn't know that you're supposed to throw away the old crush washers (four of them). i reused them and i had a leak again. the new gasket comes with crush washers inside the rubber. that was my experience. did u throw out the old washers?
