not sure if it is, but everytime i accelerate theres a hissing air sound coming from under the car. I did install a new header, but the sound was there before. I did throw in a bigger 3" intake but i dont think thats whats causing the problem. Anybody know?

 

Like, if there's a hole in your muffler? It's loud.

well its not loud, but then again i have a cat and apexi ws whcih has a resonator in it. Theres a slight drone when accelerating along with the air sound.

yes an exhaust leak will cause a hissing sound....try to get a rough estimate of where it is coming from..this should help you to pinpoint it....u will usually be able to feel the leak with ur hand...just be careful and dont burn urself

On a day that isn't windy, jack up the car, put it on stands, and start the car. Get under there with a sheet of paper and when you see the paper flutter, there's your leak.

 

like a car with a tin can exhaust!. a put-put sound, or a metal vibrating sound!

 

sounds like an old VW beetle.

 

sounds like a windtunnel from hell.. its easier to spray some stuff on the flanges like soapy water and just watch the bubbles..

 

but then you'll get wet
