tranny wont stay in 3rd

Default tranny wont stay in 3rd

i just got my b20b swap done 2 days ago i have a b16 tranny with it but now it wont stay in 3rd it dosn't grind when you slowly put it in 3rd but it wont stay in gear. sometimes when you jam 3rd it will grind but not all the time. but when i shift to 3rd slowly and when i put it in, and get on the gas it will come out of gear and grind and it just revs up. if i put it in and hld it in 3rd it will stay in for a while intell i go around a turn or somthing. now is my tranny ******* up or do i need to adjust me shift linkage or what thanks for your help

mine did the same thing and then the it wouldnt go into third at all, so your tranny is about to lose third gear. Time to get a new one

make sure it has proper fluid in it first before you go jumping to conclusions that your tranny is ruined. Transmissions do weird things if they dont h ave fluid in them.

there are no adjustments on the linkage. is your shifter in roughly the normal spot when shifting? if so, check to see if it is bent at all. most likely the problem is internal. the tranny will need to come out.
