I wouldn't recommend either. Sony's just suck *** at sound quality, and SAS tubes suck too. Get a good 10/12" dub in a box with a good amp..
of corse, im partial to Alpine.

Buy my two Orion XTR 12's. They're the older (read: good) model. Can easily handle 800 watts of RMS power, probably more (800 is what I ran through them). They come with a ported box designed by Orion. And they are loud, fast, and accurate as hell. I measured them at 150dB in my old Yukon. PM if interested.

Yeah, I would still be using the old setup but I can't justify wasting ALL of my hatch space for the sound. I'm probably going to end up fabricating a housing for one woofer off to the side.
To the OP, I would also make the trade. Xplod has never been my thing, and at least the SAS will take up less space overall.
The only Sony car audio product I'd want is the CDX-C90 (in dash CD player). Had one, it fried itself, but I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

Yea I used to have the old old Orion NT's. 12" Carbon Fibers. Best subs i've ever had. And the HCCA series, is just nuts.
I had 4... yes 4 Sony headunits in a month. ALL of them blew up.

I just picked up an infinity 10" powered sub from Crutchfield. It's got a built in 200w amp, remote bass control, takes up less than one cubic foot of trunk space and sounds good as hell. I'd reccoment it. It's the Infinity Basslink.

I'm putting a 10" W6v2 in next.
OP, Bazooka's powered SAS tubes either make 100 or 200 watts of power, depending on the model.

Id say stick with Sony over Bazooka, they suck
Car audio is like performance, You get what you pay for.
both sony and bazooka are crap but Sony > bazooka
