rear disc - swap hub/disc w/ drum
I finally started taking apart the LCA and rear shock/spring off the rear trailling arm and it appears that allt he bolts/bushings are rusted/seized together.
even by hand, we were able to strip off the HEAD off the bolt for the LCA. after that we noticed the bushing is stuck onto the bolt and well looking at the rest of the trailing arm, everything is rusted to ****.
now I am thinking of just using my existing trailing arm, taking nothing apart except for taking out my stock drums and putting on the disb/hub.
I have read elsewhere that it is possible, but has anyone done this themselves?
Is it advisable to do this? or did I just waste my money on purchasing the rear trailing arm assembly?
*i hope the caliper is not seized*

im assuming shock fork is stuck to your control arm, if so, just buy a control arm and new shock fork, so all u have to do it unbolt the top of spring/shock and the end of the control arm. and like 5 other bolts holding the whole trailer arm and it'll fall off. but damn i just remembered u said everything is rusted. hopefully the vital bolts aren't that rusted so u can do the swap. I hope u understand what im saying.
i do.
but it's not my stock ones that are the porblem... i'm lready running new shocks and SRR LCA's.
it's the rear disc trailing arm assembly i purchased that is all rusted and seized to ****! :D
my initial intention was to swap ENTIRE trailing arm assembly... however, my friends and tech conclude i need to change all bushings! ---> money i don't have for part and labour.
so i want to LEAVE my stock trailing arm on my car and ONLY take out my stock rear drum and swap on the rear disc/hub...
and this is where I have heard people complain that it is a bitch and the torx bolts will strip and etc... but i have never heard input from someone who have personally done a rear disc swap this way!
