Type R WHP
Hey guys, this is probably a n00b question, but i was just curious, what does an average type R make to the wheels with simple bolt ons, I/H/E
I have a DA with a built Ls/Vtec, and i've raced Type R's before and just barely pulled on them, so i was wondering how my whp numbers compare to theirs.

Stock ones, or does that include the best I/H/E and ECU w/tuning you can buy?

Factory stock is about 163-165, probably on to 175-180+ with I/H/E.
LS/Vtec might make a bit more TQ, but might not rev as high as an ITR.
That, and a DA is probably quite a bit lighter ....

I wouldn't say much heavier.
My '97 ITR is roughly 2520 (according to a truck stop).
My '92 GSR was 2640 (according to the same truck stop).
My ITR put down 170whp stock, and 186whp with H/E.
If you are comparing your numbers to our numbers, it would help to know what dynometer you used (ie: Dynojet/dynapack/mustang dyno...) and what the numbers are.

I put down 186whp and 141 trq on a the dyno, I'm not sure what kind of dyno was used.

From what I have seen, it's very possible for a mildly improved ITR (intelligently chosen header, cat back and intake) to be putting down 185 on a Dynojet.
