It is for a good price, even if I only use the tranny temporarily. I just want to know how to check the tranny to make sure he isn't pulling my chain. The tranny is out of the car with the shift linkage still attached. Thanks

 

look through the hole where where the two axle shalfs go. You should be able to see right trough it. It there is no lsd than there should be a rod in the middle.

 

wrong, not with a phantom grip, that simply locks the spider gears together. nothing to see.....spin one of the output shafts, the other should spin in the same direction if they are locked together

thanks guys, I called the guy out on his "lie" to think I almost gave him some money for it............I thought that if it had the bar sticking through there it wasn't LSD, just wanted to check for sure. Saved me a seriously big problem, thanks guys!
