Hello everybody,

SpeedTrialUSA has an instructional road racing school for enthusiasts of all driving levels, with all makes and models of car, coming up Saturday, October 22 at GingerMan Raceway in South Haven, MI. Since our events are aimed at all levels of drivers and cars, there is something for everybody. This is your chance to take your driving skills and your car to the limit while learning the basics of auto racing in a safe, fun, and controlled environment.



This event is $135 for the day if you preregister, $160 the day of, and includes intstruction for all levels of driver and also your tech inspection. We will be running our groups in 20 minute sessions, so you will have a ton of track time! Arrive at the track at 7:00am, Drivers meeting at 8:30 am, first session begins at 9am.

My car died down at Putnam this past weekend. I will try to get it fixed before the event. If not, I would still be there instructing.

I would go but I will be in Houghton for teh Lake superior pro rally. I live 45 minutes from gingerman and ahve driven on it. It is great. lots of right turns but still a very nice track and facility.

 

Beginner is full already.

Pete and myself will be there to represent. Looks like intermediate is almost full now. Plenty of openings for advanced.

 

would be there...got a wedding in detroit instead. havent been on track since 4th of july (wmhm5). i wanna be there badly.

Yeah I had a blast....wish I would have seen more passing flags. The weather turned out decent and made the second half of the event fun to drive....can't wait for april...see you then brian...

Being burned to a cd.. I should get the cd in a few weeks.. When I get them I will post them up... I have aftermath shots, but there not as good as the action ones..

 

i have a few pix and some video. i wish my damn coil wouldn't have taken a **** on me after the first session tho

It was a pretty fun event. There were a ton of sti's and evo's out that day so it was a good challege trying to keep up with them especially when it started to rain late in the afternoon. My 205/15 azenis felt WAY better on the 15x7 rota's compared to the mazda millenia wheels I was using at expo.

I had no idea before hand though that the intermediate & advanced group weren't paired with set instructors. I was struggling a bit to find a good line since I hadn't been to Gingerman in several years. But Wai came out with me for a session in the afternoon and he showed me 3-4 corners where I could be taking a lot better line. Thanks Wai!!

I would have liked to have had an instructor for the 1st session or at least a lead and follow for the 1st few laps of the 1st session. There were a handful of people in the intermediate group I talked to that had never been to the track before and I'm sure they would have benefited a lot from something like that as well.

I was also a self-abosorbed person and bought a cd from the photographers that were there. I bought one last year and they due awesome work..I'll post a couple pics from last year in here...

You get what you pay for...and if you ever want poster size pics...I belive Kinkos can do it...These are just a handful of pics...I have easily over 50 pics on the cd...

 

those bastids didnt take pics the first session so i have no pics of me on the track once again oh well maybe next year
