Exhaust Decision
I am looking for an exhaust that is quiet on the highway but if you give it gas, it has a nice deep tone. I heard people say things about RS-R Exmag, Apexi WS2, Greddy SP2, and Thermal ST. are all of these good choices or is there one you would recommend over the others. I drive an Si, and price does factor into my decision. Any suggestions are most appreciated.
Vs the WS? The muffler is not shiny thus drawing less attention to it. I also think its quieter. Also on the WS, it looks as the exhaust tip is one peice on the rsr its in two peices (the pipe with a chrome overtip) I like it because it keeps the temps down and you are less likely to burn your lip kit or whatever.
WS2 here, very nearly stock sounding till you get on it. Doesn't resonate at highway speed, does hang a little low under the middle of the car, not a problem unless you're dropped more then 1.5-2" and there's a mod to raise it by clamping the donut

Does the WS2 have rusting issues. because it is the only one in the group i mentioned that isent stainless steal. anyone know how long apexi last. thats my major concern with apexi.
I have a Tanabe Racing Medallion and it is loud. It's awesome, if you have an 97-01 lude then the racing medallion is the best sounding as well as one of the best performing.
PS I've had it for about 4 years now and it doesnt look like it will ever rust.

If price is a factor I would go with a Magnaflow universal muffler and take it to an exhaust shop and have them install it with new piping. Price was a factor for me also, I ended up spending $105 for the muffler and $200 for 2.5" mandrel bent pipe from the cat back. As you can see it only cost me $305 compared to the rest that you listed that are $500+.
