How much hp without a main girdle?
I'm building an ls block with a gsr crank, and I'm wondering what hp necessitates a main girdle. I plan on eventually exceeding 600whp with this setup, and I don't want to break anything.
So what is the highest hp any of you guys have gotten out of a girdle free block?
Thanks
p.s. anyone used the erl 5 point girdle?

The 5main is definetly a nice thing. It also helps to prevent misalgnments of the jurnels after honing in a new buildtup etc.
It also puts more strength in the bottom.

honing in a new buildup? dude wtf are you talking about?
The 5 main if anything may distort the jornals and will need to be align bored ...
they are good for high reving motors if you want to spend the money and time on it
Also your going to need to use different main studs with them. main studs beign tQ'd down tighter then factory spec screws the bearing clearences..
