Painting to another color
Im planning on painting my 5th gen from Eucalyptus Green to a championship white...and yes im doing it myself. I have the expertise but ive never actually had to deal with doing this on my own car. Now im wondering if i need to register this with the DMV and if so, how would i do so? Would this incur any costs? Insurance going up?
isnt there a color specification on the registration? i thought thats how they knoew hte license plate number matches with the right cat.....eg....1996 green accord
Hell they don't care... half the time when my car was the "sage green" on my tickets and warnings my car was labled blue, silver, grey, green, or just about any other color. So its not like the cops can really tell anyway as long as the plate matches the person driving the vehicle.
changing the coloro ur self sounds great can u post pics up of ur progression? where do u stay at? if i like ur work maybe u can hook me up with a new color for a cheap price

If you change the color of the vehicle you should, and you must let the DMV know... because if anything really bad happens, that could turn into trouble.
If a guy hits a child in the street, he changes the color of his overnight inside his own garage and then cops will not find the specific car with the color they're looking for....
..soo yeahh.... let the DMV know...

Yeah but now your talking some grand theft auto stuff or something you would see on a movie... You don't "HAVE" to let the DMV know and no one is gonna come knocking on your doorstep. so put it off until next time you buy tabs or whatever just ask them
