swap help
I have a B16a3 in a 95 del sol (originally D16z6) with ctr pistons and cams, msd sci, hondata gasket, header, aem cai, no knock sensor will be wiring that in tonite, p30... sounds like a subaru, and runs lean, get a code 43, sounds like a exhaust leak or (as a friend put it) 2 cylinders firing at the same time....can anyone point me in a direction to solve this? checked all injectors and all have 11.7 ohms, fuel regulator is good, fresh filter, cleaned all contacts on cap and rotor...at wits end...grateful for any help...
seems to be right on no problem at all....checked and rechecked that over and over....thinkin of runnin a p28 ecu, but don't know what chip to put in it...any suggestions????

yeah timing is right on...the questions were for any other suggestions, i should have spaced that more....im gonna pop the valve cover off tomorrow and make sure the cam gears are lined up....i couldn't wire the knock sensor in but that shouldn't make a difference except for VTEC and i can't go past 3000 rpms because of break-in....so any other suggestions are welcome and ill let you know more.
MAke sure your injectors are firing. You may be getting power but they may be clogged or just stuck. Try unplugging them one at a time while the engine is running. If you unplug one and it the car doesnt react then it may not be firing. I had this happen with two of my injectors and it sounded about the same. I replaced the two that werent working and have had no problems since.
alrite ill give that a whirl and let you know what i come up with.....quick question if i put a B18B1 TB on a B16A3 what throttle body gasket do i need?
got out there last night and wired up the knock sensor,unplugged injectors, checked all vacuum and wiring diagrams, still sounds like exhaust leak or a good running scoobie...maybe it just runs like that? any other ideas?
still trying to figure out my WRX sounding problem(only when its warmed up), car drives fine checked spark and good wires, cap, rotor, plugs. Ive been told that the 4-1 header i have on there will make it sound like what i have. Anyone care to agree with that? Really got my stomach in a knot, all the horror stories ive read on here about blown pistons and all, so im looking for anything. Suggestions are welcomed and i will double check everything and anything thrown at me.
