Tires rubbing fenders
Hey guys.... this type R isnt lowered that much, its has one finger gap in the back and two finger gaps in the front. But when people sit in the back the tires rub up againt the tiny rubber outline across the wheel weel in the back. Iv seen alot of other type R's on this forum lowered alot more, but i never hear of this problem. I thought the tires were suppose to get tucked into the wheel weel and not scrap them. DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM? Is the only way to fix this to not let people sit in the back? The tires are 205 45 R16. Thanks

Actually the way to "fix" this is to stop letting fat chicks sit in your back seat.

Get some coilovers so you can adjust the dampnes and the height of the shock !
But if you want you can cut or roll the fender lip as Chris F said
go to some one that has done previous body work because it`s easy to crack the paint on the fenders if you try it your self .
Good Luck

How did you lower the car? What're the spring rates? Exactly how much lower is it?
205's on +45 wheels shouldn't normally rub in normal situations...I think you've just lowered the car too much for the spring rates that are on the car.

It took half a page of threads before somebody actually gave him a real answer
Like mentioned above, you need to roll that inner lip up. You can do it yourself using a heatgun and the "baseball bat" method or you can get it done at a body shop.... I'd go with the latter.

You're entitled to your own opinion, but the suggestion of "raising the car" is also a "real answer".
Frankly, rolling the rear fenderlips will not completely solve his problem, esp. with relatively soft springs.
