Default tuner toys rods

im using tuner toys h beams with vitara pistons and im havng a little problem. the pin is juss a little larger then the hole on the rods. where the wrist pin connects the rods with the pistons. i was wondering if i could juss bore out the hole to make it fit. i wouldnt be taking a lot out. i could get it in there with juss a little force but that would take away the whole floating factor.

Yes you could take the rods to a machine shop and have them resize the bushing in the rod end.

I am not familar with the Vitara piston setups. Ceck in the FI section for more info.

You should check the Vitara/GE combo thread. Its like 5-6 pages long in the FI forum. Its usually for D series. But that thread will explain what to do. I think it was something to do with the pin itself and not the rod. But cant remember.

Hum, my eagle/vitara combo went together like a glove. I wonder if its not the Tuner Toy rods that are the issue. Did you get the pistons from FJT? or are they from a different maker/model.

the TT rods, eagle, scat, and crower econo rods are all made in the same factory. they are then shipped to the individual companies to re-sell for various prices. hmmm thats strange.... up to a $200 price difference for the exact same item.

anyway, theres probably nothing wrong with the rods. dont they have to be installed with a press?

I'd love to see some proof of this... people are always saying this and this are made in the same factory, but barely anyone offers any evidence.
