Default is this the fuel pump or fuel level unit?

i am tring to figure out why my 90 integra keeps dieing, i no longer hear the fuel pump come on when i turn the key. i removed the rear seat and un screwed the 3 phillips screws and removed the cover. i tapped the ringg and removed the unit but this dosent look like a fuel pump. is this the pump or is the pump somewhere else? i used a light tester and this unit is getting power. i hope i dont have to buy a new fuel pump

ok, from the pictures i got from the shop manual, the unit i am looking it is not the fuel pump. does it matter that my integra is a 4dr? the unit i am looking at has the floaty thing for the fuel guage but no pump or strainer, where can i find it cuz the manual say is should be where i am looking

the fuel pump is in the gas tank, did you test the main relay? the only way you can test a relay is for continuity

^^^ if you have power going to the fuel pump, check that you have ground at the main relay. i'm not sure what pin it is, but on 96 dc2 it's pin #3. wait, if you have the shop manual shouldn't it tell you how to diagnose? there should be a flow chart just for the main relay
