Default JDM Y1 LSD "rebuild" (lsd clutch pack resurfacing or replacement)

Has anyone ever heard of a rebuild kit or know anything about refurbing the clutch based LSD in the B16A Y1?

Somehow I doubt the LSD friction disks are still available as an OEM Honda of Japan (JDM) replacement part from dealerships?

Who would be suited for such a task? Would some specialty shop be suited to resurface the LSD clutch plates if I was rebuilding my own tranny?

Most people tend to go to the YS1's with the helical gear LSDs....but some people prefer the clutch based LSD , myself included

I guess switching to a YS1 with a JDM (i.e. Mugen or Cusco) or Kaaz clutch based LSD is another option... eh?.... Anyone have any opinions on these other clutch based units? How do they compare to the action of the OEM clutch LSD unit?

thanks for the link... i actually talked to these guys before and they say they like to sell people gear based LSDs and dont like to bother with the clutch based LSDs....

hmmm altho it sure would be tempting to have a Gearspeed Type IV in a CRX HF with a B18C5..... i have a feeling all differences between the helical gear and clutch based LSD units would then be forgotten ;-)
