ok, ive searched and read for about 6 hours today and still am as lost as i was this morning. I currently have a 94 ls integ. Im starting to build a ls bottom end from a 96 teg. If I put a 2000 gsr head (with all stock parts eg.intake and exhaust mani.) will it be legal?? I will be using all stock parts. nothing aftermarket. I just wanna build a slightly better motor but i think the head is gonna be a b**ch. If you live in cali and have done this sucessfully i would really appreciate your story. I live in south Cali. SMOG BLOWS!!!!!!
Nope, an lsvtec will never be considered a legal motor by California BAR standards. To BAR a swap you would need a motor that exists in another production car, that's how people can get their civics reffed with complete gsr and ls swaps.
