Trying to get correct idle
What's up
I've been fighting with my engine for almost a year now tring to get it to idle right. I got it to stop jumping up and down, now it idles at a steady 1200 rpm
I have an AEBS manifold with hondata gasket on my b16. I've checked the vacuum lines, no leaks, I hooked up a vacuum guage to a port on the back of the manifold, and it reads a steady 21 in/hg, with no drops or fluctuation over 1 in/hg. I've replaced my IACV. The manifold completely bypasses the FITV, so that is non-existant. I removed the manifold and put RVT high temp sealer around the gasket, I put the sealant around the IACV, throttle body gasket, and idle screw. The idle screw is all the way in. I've replaced parts, bought things, tried new ideas, and can't seam to figure it out.
Does anyone know if that missing the accumulator that tee's off on the map senor would have anything to do with it? I know that little plug is supposed to dampen the reading vibrations. I don't know if that would make the computer read varying map signals and add more fuel. But if anyone knows anything about that, or has any ideas maybe I haven't thought of, I would appreciate it. Thanks

I just installed a blox intake manifold on my car as well. It did the same thing with the rpm jump. You shouldn't of had to really touch you idle screw, mine was fine where it was, but might be different with your car since i had to replace the throttlebody pulley and spring. Anyways, acura gave me the wrong throttlebody gasket which once replaced knocked my idle way down, which i hope you replaced. If not take the throttle body pulley off and give your spring a quarter turn. That fixed the problem for me. Good luck.
I did replace the throttle body gasket, no changes. But I am going to tighten my spring right now, I'll let you know how that goes. Thanks
Problem solved!!! The new throttle body had a chip missing around the throttle opening, it must have gotten sucked into the engine somehow. Maybe when I was spraying it, with that -375 degree temp or something. But thanks for all your help, I wouldn't have taken my throttle body off, if it weren't for you. So you ended my year long struggle.
my car idles below 1000. so low that sometimes, my entire car starts to shake or something when its reving low.
i dont know how low, but kinda close to the zero. thats when the car starts to shake like its having a seizure. and i have to press the gas to prevent it from dying.
anyone got any info that can help me?
