Default Ebrake lever & handle replacement

I have an 88 STD hatch with a mostly restored OEM interior, and the ebrake handle in the and lever in the vehicle is disgusting, cracked, turning green and even flakes in humidity sometimes. I do NOT want to rice out the handle with something chrome plated or CF or some other ebay nasty thing. I want an OEM part, and I would prefer to use a used DC lever that recently came into my possession. The handle is in excellent condition and the lever seems to fit reasonably. Does anybody know for a fact if the lever from a DC will fit an EF and how extensive the operation would be?

Btw... I did search this, and nobody was able to give a straight answer, even in the archives.
