Default del sol problems, owners check in.....

i decided to start a thread about common del sol problems and would like to hear others's answers besides whats on some websites. now to start it off my driver side door lock it sooooo hard to push in (to lock) what can i do to fix this? also i hear water splashing around behind the rear window. now i know how to stop the water (with new clips installed) but how do you go about draining the water?!also who else has water leaking into their car from the top part of their windows/tops? so post up answers and your del sol problems in this thread. lets see what others have done to fix these problems, besides whats on the sites

my biggest complaints were the leak and annoying *** rattles from the top.

for the leaks, buy the new rubber seal kit
for the rattles, i heard you can fix that by taking the top apart and tighten the locks or something. i never tried it though, since it got stolen

i've tried this 3 times. tightening everything in the targa takes out about 1/2 the rattles and creaks (targa related). I am yet to get rid of them all.

yeah, that bugged me the most. the leaks are seasonal, but the rattles never go away. i used to get to pissed off at how noisy my car was... the road noise from my tires, my N1, and the god-damn rattles. GRRRRR!

what no polyurethane motor mounts to shake everything in the dash loose too? I just replaced almost all my suspension bushings too, giving new meaning to the term 'road noise'. I feel your pain.

if that's not hooked up to a wideband o2, all you're gonna get is a light show.

IMO, strut bars are not worth that. they don't do enough to justify that price. Spend $250 on an S-T swaybar kit, and add ebay strut bars, you'll come in at least $50 cheaper and perform better.

I always thought you had to be pullin on your door handle to push the lock in. At least that's the way it works on my EJ hatch...

nope, but a friend has a similar setup. the tranny will make your car faster and the flywheel will make your car 'feel' faster + far more responsive.

http://teamdelsol.com has a lot of stuff.. like, how to stop rattling, etc..

My main complaint are the door panels.

Also, if you guys didn't know.. the leaks are usually from putting weight on the doors, etc.
