my 2 toys....

for the price of a used H22a1 or even a H22a4 I would well exceed the purchase price of a VTEC model. And at that point I don't have the larger brakes/wheels, ABS, power locks, passenger airbag, leather, and all the other B.S. It just made more sense.
when my car had the f22 the best I had was 17.1 1/4
I haven't ran the car since the h22a. What times should I expect on this run??? BTW nice "2 toys" you got there.

Yeah, the S model sucks! I have one that I got for a good deal, so it made sense for me to swap. My car weighs in around 2750 (on a highway truck scale, but that doesn't really count) and it feels like a new Civic weightwise. Should be good when the motor goes in next week! I got some legend calipers to help with braking, the S ones kinda blow.
I know the s model is realitivly slow, but give it some credit... My s occasionally owns some crazy cars... oh and theu have "135hp" but don't worry, I'm saving for a jdm h22a... oh kevie please tell me if everything went good w/ your swap and the company you got the engine from, I'm real interested. Thanks!
I'm still waiting for a week of good weather to install my motor, but everything is nearing completion. I have about a days worth of prep work like installing the clutch, getting the tranny back on ect.
It's going to be pretty much a plug and play install, the motor came from that car after all! I need to modify my F22 harness to fit some of the H22 sensors like the 02 sensor (in the front of an F22 and the rear of an H22) and add the VTEC wires, and knock sensor wires. There are a couple more I'm going to have to do that I've listed in my service manual, but I don't have it in front of me.
I would like to have a wiring warness for a USDM spec H22a, cuz then I would just have to plug it in, and run short wires for the VTEC. I have heard rumors that the Canadian 92-93 Prelude S is pre-wired for VTEC, in which case I will be a very happy man. I just gotta have a look at the ECU now!
