Type R head
Is there any way to tell a type r head from a B16 head? A guy out my way is selling a Type r head but he says it has b16 springs and retainer also a b16 intake manifold. I know one thing is the water neck but what if the head does not have this? Is there any stamping I should look out for? Also he says it has CTR cams in it. I gonna see it soon so let me know anything I should look out for on the head or even the cams.

Type R-
Dual valvesprings Intake and Exhaust.
Green mark by the distributor on the cylinder head. Also look for the casting date on the head.
But why on earth would you put b16 valvesprings in a type r head. sounds like a b16 head my self.

Umm all b16's are stamped pr-3
Umm all b16's are stamped pr-3
The head says PR3-2. Is this a type r code.... cuz my b16 says PR3-3
EDIT: Just found in a search that PR3- ???? will not tell anything.
I have the head in my garage right now siting, but still don't know.
