Just curious, but why do people say "hatchie"? Is it supposed to be like Hachi-roku? Where the word "Hachi" denotes the number 8 in Japanese?

I totally see the relationship between "hatchie" and the word "hatchback". My question is:

Are they using it thinking that's what the "hachi" in hachi-roku means? Obviously a very popular term in reference to the AE86 (Of Initial D fame)...if that's the case, then people have sadly been mistaken.

Not worth it anymore. Cops clamped down on peoples asses. Davie cops hate Hondas also, so it makes it even worse.

word...i hear ya. thats why i roll around in a family car id like to start a meet thats off limits to everyone cept people who actually care about keeping a steady spot for a while. problem is that kids mess it up quick fast, oh well. friday nights everyones been going to towers with all the classics, the cops dont mess with people too bad on friday nights, at least they dont while the classics are there, fuggin haters....

The classics aren't burning out in parking lot. That is an organized car show with families there. They aren't playing loud music, trashing the parking lot, and using bad language. Most of us Honda peeps just chill, but then you get the high schoolers that just got an intake and is sittin on 4 black donut rims acting like a fool. They fukkitup for all of us. They tried to fight one of my boys until his red nose pitbul hopped out of the car. They cut that bullshit out real quick.

If we had a spot to meet up at without the rowdies we'd be ok.

 

exactly what id like to have. if kiddies show up and start actin the fool they get escorted out or roughed up j/k seriously we need a good spot with no dumbasses. redline was nice for a little while.

 

If we know a spot, the kiddies know it. The track is the best place for us old timers.

 

i always go to the track but end up runnin solo since none of my boys are really into driving out there. i still havent run the times i should in my car. i went up there last wednesday and it was PACKED. cars were all the way back to where you pick up your timeslips. they also had a line all the way around the back and another down the "tech" line! i only got two runs in and they were my first with the new setup. maybe this wednesday will be a little less packed, im heading up to see.
