Sadly the R is gone and been replaced.
The R is sold
and this is what is replacing her. Baby is on the way
.
So after purchasing the wagon it was painfully obvious that understeer HAD to be taken care of. Along with better braking and body roll. So after researching the subaru forums and trying to keep the budget as small as possible these are the modifications that I chose to fix the problems.
1st. 20mm rear sway bar from fhi. Best bang for the buck in my opinion.
2nd. tein basic coilovers. Because of the price, made for my application, and a matched spring/strut combination. ride height adjustable is just a bonus.
3rd. whiteline front camber bolts. obvious reasons.
4th. alignment and increased front tire pressures.
5th. Russel stainless brake lines.
The last few modifications were for appearance. Window tint, fog covers, debadging, and blacking out the front emblem.
More modifications to come; better brake pads, tires and a cross bar kit for the roof.
Just wanted to share my experiences with researching and modifying what is a new platform for me.
Here are the links to the pics if they don't show up:

Plenty of WRX and STi owners switch to the RS hoods though.
What gives it away are the wheels, muffler, and mirrors.
Something you might want to look into to help with the steering are the Whiteline steering rack bushings. Nice and inexpensive.
And yes, great color choice. I went with the same on my WRX sedan.

Yea, but when they do that they have a big fat intercooler up front. I would hate to see the performance of a stock intercooler and no hood scoop.

And some paint "BLITZ" in big letters on it to stand out. Haha. (my friend and his old WRX Wagon). But to the poster, your car looks awesome. It looks better than stock WRX's in my opinion and we all know that when it comes to the track, having just power isnt everything, unless your going in a straight line

so how much did u pay for the tein. wanted to get those for my 04 wagon. was looking at the d2's, the basic teins dont let u adjust the camber, right. can u go lower with the teins, and did ur camber get jacked up.
I'm also curious as to how much you paid for the Teins. When I was looking for coilovers I considered a couple different Tein setups, but ended up going with KSport coilovers. Was about the price of the Basics yet had all the features of the Tein Flex (which a friend of mine has on his wrx and dislikes). I've had mine for 6k miles now and couldn't be happier :D

ITR has more than enough space for groceries and a baby.
