Gas leakage and tranny problems
i am near the end of the swap right, and then i start the car up now gas is leaking out the car( i had a full tank of gas in my car it is half now.) but i tighten the fuel pressure regulator and that is fine, where else do i need to look. ALSO, when i shift my gears i can only get into 1 through 4, 5th and Reverse is a bastardly hard to shift into i still did not get in. Please help me on this cuz it is beating my butt seriously. thanks
Do you actually smell the gas leaking? As far as the tranny, it sounds like your input shaft or whatever its called. I had the same exact problem a while back. Your input shaft is bent and needs to be replaced.
its probably coming from the fuel filter. theres a brass ring that goes on one of the screws thats on the filter. that ring probably needs to be replaced.
the input shaft should run anywhere from $200-$400 installed because transmissions are not cheap to work on. good luck

my fuel injectors were leakin pretty bad, i had to replace my o-rings. like 3 bucks a piece from the dealer..so 3x4=12 bucks...try that take ur fuel rail off and check them out, as far as ur tranny sounds like ur input shaft i am prolly gona get a new one too mine is makin sum noise
