Abnormal startup after battery died. help?
car: 00 si
Just the other day I accidently left my fog lights on and the battery drained out. We all know how it sounds like when you try to start the car on a close to dead battery. Its the slow crank sound it does, well my dumb *** kept trying to crank it up knowing that it wont start. So after i jump start the car with my neighbors help, something must it gave out cause it wasn't the same anymore starting up. It does the slow crank thing before starting up . Unlike before it was normal. I really dont like the way it feels now especially the way it sounded. So my question is could it be the starter? did i damage the coils by trying to start it up on a low battery? I don't think its battery doing this? Its entirely my fault for turning the ignition on knowing it aint gonna work. Someone with a definite answer to this will be very helpful and appreciated.
