OT: Honda takes 100% ownership of BAR
Woot!!! Hopefully this means even better things to come from Honda in Formula 1 next year!

yeah, like monaco, tight twisty streets, that'd always be the dream
with the introduction of the V8 next year should make for interesting season,
it definatley seems that the days of the privateers are gone

Yes except most of us would probably destroy the car after the first few corners. I think a CART or IRL car would be more 'fun' for an uninitiated driver.

Articles abound about honda running a SECOND team.. the mysterious 11th team that sato mentioned earlier.... probably by the Dome peoples w/ honda engines/backing.
That would possibly put Sato and Davidson on the race grid next year.
But again, without a proper windtunnel (or tunnels), one team or two, they are not going to be top notch unless they get a mclaren-esque chassis with some f-ing front end grip.

Dome has a wind tunnel
- that B.A.R Honda has reportedly been using as well.
Maybe you're saying a 50% wind tunnel isn't a "proper" wind tunnel.. I don't really know.

im not talking aero. they lack mechanical grip.

Slowest trap speeds at Interlagos despite reportedly the most powerful engine on the grid can attest to that; so does at least 13 evolutions of front wing up to this point of the season.
What doesn't help my confidence in the aero dept. is that B.A.R and Honda have two 50% scale wind tunnels at their disposal.
The mechanical grip on the B.A.R is likely a lot better than on, say, the Toyota, but the 007 is not a slippery car like the Toyota. I guess as a consolation, at least the 007 hasn't been rough on tires this season, except for Interlagos.

lighten up? lol. its not my fault your dream is as bad as the 'race' scene in 'driven'.
at least make it something plausible.... like driving an F1 car at suzuka. having the track all to yourself, all day. now THAT is a dream.

well, it's not hard to hop in a F3 for weekend of affordable track event. The experience would be good enough for the average joe to wet themselves thinking they are piloting a F1.
